Pauli van Heerden

Biography

Pauli van Heerden is a Stellenbosch University-trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and is currently pursuing a sub-specialisation in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tygerberg Hospital. Her interest in maternal and newborn health started early in her career and she obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the CMSA before pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her research interests include hypertensive, cardiac, and endocrine disorders of pregnancy, specifically focusing on predicting and preventing preeclampsia. She is passionate about Women’s Health Care in low-resource communities and streamlining processes to improve care for marginalised women.
