Biography
Samantha is a clinician, lecturer and part-time researcher at Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. Her areas of interest include fetal growth, preeclampsia and diabetes in pregnancy. She is currently the PI in research investigating novel biomarkers for fetal growth restriction and would ultimately like to develop a point of care test for screening and/or diagnosing fetal growth restriction. She is the president of the South African Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and an executive member of the Society for Obstetric Medicine of South Africa. Her other passion is teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate students.
